Biotech Laboratories (Pty) Ltd is a South African pharmaceutical company founded in 1990 that markets, sells and distributes generic and branded pharmaceuticals to both the private and public sectors in South Africa, for humans and animals. We are also active in the export markets within the SADC region.

 

Biotech launched a large and companion animal health division in 2011 and has partnered with a leading global veterinary research and development company based in the United Kingdom, Norbrook Laboratories Limited. This division services the entire southern Africa with quality products that cover all major veterinary therapeutic categories.

 

The partnership between Biotech and Norbrook continues to grow from strength to strength. As a result Norbrook, with more than 40 years’ experience, has entrusted Biotech in the southern African region to continue driving the business forward through marketing and sales of existing brands and new product introductions.

 

An important aspect of the South African business environment is the empowerment of previously disadvantaged individuals. Biotech Laboratories embraces this philosophy at all stakeholder levels and is therefore recognised as a Level 3 Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) entity.
